What a Custom Vinyl Banner Actually Costs

Most sign shops won't tell you what a banner costs until you've filled in a form and waited for someone to call you back. We think that's a waste of your afternoon, so here is our whole pricing structure, in public.

The rate

$6.88 per square foot, with a $39.99 minimum.

That's it. Multiply the width in feet by the height in feet, multiply by 6.88, and if the answer is under $39.99 you pay $39.99.

A few worked examples:

Size Square feet Price
24 x 12 in (2ft x 1ft) 2 $39.99 (minimum)
36 x 24 in (3ft x 2ft) 6 $40.99
48 x 24 in (4ft x 2ft) 8 $54.99
72 x 36 in (6ft x 3ft) 18 $123.99
96 x 48 in (8ft x 4ft) 32 $219.99
120 x 48 in (10ft x 4ft) 40 $274.99

Standard shipping anywhere in the United States is free, including Alaska and Hawaii. There is no minimum spend and no surcharge for oversized banners, which is worth saying plainly because a 10-foot banner is genuinely awkward and expensive to ship.

Why there's a minimum

Below about six square feet, the price stops tracking the size. A 12 x 12 inch banner costs the same as a 24 x 18.

This isn't padding. A small banner takes the same design time, the same proof, the same person checking the spelling, the same trip to the post office as a large one. The vinyl is the cheap part. Under the minimum we'd be paying for the privilege of printing it.

If you need something genuinely small, a yard sign or an acrylic sign is often the better tool for the job — and usually cheaper.

Finishing

Three add-ons, priced flat regardless of banner size:

  • Corner grommets — $2. Four metal eyelets, one in each corner. Fine for indoor use and short spans.
  • Border grommets — $3. Eyelets every couple of feet all the way around. What you want for anything outdoors or anything wide.
  • Hemmed edges — $6. The vinyl is folded and welded back on itself around the perimeter, roughly doubling the thickness at the edge. Grommets pull out of an unhemmed banner long before they pull out of a hemmed one.

A fully finished 6ft x 3ft banner — border grommets and hem — comes to $132.99. We cover which of these you actually need in a separate article on grommets and hems.

What's included

  • A free digital proof, emailed to you, usually within 24 hours
  • Unlimited changes before you approve it
  • Free US shipping
  • 13 oz scrim vinyl, printed in our own shop in High Point

Nothing prints until you say so. If you don't like the proof, change it. If you change your mind entirely before approving, cancel for a full refund.

What we're not

We are not the cheapest banner on the internet, and we'd rather say so than have you find out at checkout.

The big online printers run $1.20 to $3.50 a square foot. They can do that because they're printing thousands of banners a day with no human looking at any individual file. If you have finished, print-ready artwork and you just need vinyl with ink on it, they are a perfectly reasonable choice and we'd rather you were happy than overcharged.

What you're paying us the difference for is a person. Someone reads your text before it prints. Someone notices when the date on your retirement banner is a Tuesday that doesn't exist, or when the photo you uploaded is a 400-pixel screenshot that will print as a smear at four feet wide. That's caught most weeks, and it's the whole reason the proof exists.

You're also paying for the fact that we're forty minutes from you rather than four states away, if you're in the Triad.

Custom sizes

The site lists 30 stock sizes from 18 x 9 inches up to 10ft x 4ft. If you need something that isn't on the list, call us on 336-899-6112 or email hello@miracleprints4u.com with the dimensions. The rate is the same $6.88 a square foot — we just have to set it up by hand.

Same for large quantities, ongoing business signage, or anything where you'd rather talk to a person than click through a product page.
